Privacy Policy
What this website collects, who receives it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Mi Casa Bonita, Inc., doing business as Mi Casa Bonita Realty, is a licensed California real estate brokerage (CA DRE #02083724) at 668 N Maclay Avenue, San Fernando, California 91340. You can reach us at (818) 403-3094 or micasabonitarealty@gmail.com. This policy explains what this website collects and what we do with it.
What this website collects
Information you give us. The contact forms on this site ask for your name, email address, phone number, what you are interested in, and your message. Those fields are the only personal information this website asks you for. We do not ask for financial information, government identification, or Social Security numbers through this site, and you should never send them to us by email.
Information stored in your browser. If you switch the site to Spanish, we save that preference in your browser's local storage under the key mcb-lang so the site remembers it next visit. It stays on your device, it is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. Separately, Google Analytics sets its own cookies, described below. We set no advertising cookies and run no advertising trackers.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our web host records standard server log data — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — as part of delivering the site and keeping it secure.
Third parties who may receive data
Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We do not send Google anything else.
Our CRM. Contact form submissions are delivered into HubSpot, the customer relationship system we use to make sure inquiries are answered and followed up. HubSpot processes that data on our behalf under its own privacy terms.
MLS property search. The search tool on our Search page is provided by IDX Broker, which supplies listing data under licence from the MLS. When that page loads, IDX Broker receives your IP address and whatever you type into the search — it does not run on any other page of this site, and we do not send it your contact details. If you register or save a search with them, that account is theirs and is governed by their privacy terms.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read, so we can tell whether the site is useful. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, the pages you view and general details about your device. We use it to understand traffic in aggregate — we do not use it to identify you personally, and we have not enabled Google's advertising features. You can opt out for every site using Google's browser add-on.
Our web host. The site is hosted by a third-party provider that maintains the server logs described above.
Neighborhood maps on this site are drawn from OpenStreetMap data but are served as static files from our own server, so viewing them does not send your information anywhere.
How we use your information
To answer your inquiry, to provide real estate brokerage services you have asked for, to send you property information you requested, and to keep records that California real estate law requires us to retain. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will stop.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not give your contact details to other brokerages, lenders, or marketing companies. We share information only with service providers who help us operate — such as the CRM above — and where the law requires it.
Your California privacy rights
California residents may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about them, to request that we delete it, to request that we correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To make a request, call (818) 403-3094 or email micasabonitarealty@gmail.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and some records must be retained under real estate and tax law even after a deletion request.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become transactions are kept only as long as they are useful for following up. Where a transaction occurs, California law requires brokerages to retain records for a minimum period, and we keep those files accordingly.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send sensitive personal or financial details through a web form or email. When a transaction requires that information, we will tell you how to provide it safely.
Children
This site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and the date below. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
